Alexandra Geske is a full time artist and woodworker residing in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She initially fell in love with wood while studying furniture design at Herron School of Art. After having received her degree, she went on to a variety of artistic settings to develop her craft. She received numerous scholarships to attend workshops at both Anderson Ranch Arts Center (Snowmass Village, CO) and Penland School of Crafts (Penland, NC.) She then returned to both schools to complete an Artist-in-Residency and a CORE Fellowship. From there, she was employed at Marc Adams School of Woodworking and Lie-Nielsen Toolworks. She apprenticed with Michael Fortune at his studio in Ontario, Canada and then returned once more to Anderson Ranch to be the woodshop assistant. She was selected by the Indiana Arts Commission for their On-Ramp Program in 2019 and occasionally exhibits pieces at Gallery 924 of the Indianapolis Arts Council.

Today she works out of her own studio in downtown Indianapolis, focusing her time on creating heirlooms for the home. She has always been drawn to the relationship between artfully crafted, functional items that one would cherish and use on a day to day basis. She often exhibits her work at various art fairs such as the Bloomington Handmade Market, the Feast of Lanterns, Monument Circle Art Fair, and the Penrod Arts Fair.
